CityLAB Accessibility

How can we make improvements to the CityLAB website and other digital services to become accessible for persons with disabilities?

Project Description:

CityLAB provides services and information to a wide range of individuals and stakeholders, both during our project process and in delivering project information to the public. Currently, CityLAB does not meet the required guidelines to comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), specifically including live-captions and audio descriptions. Our goal is to improve the experience of CityLAB’s website and services for people with disabilities and seek to identify further accessibility opportunities that may not yet be legislated, particularly as it relates to our digital presence.

City Priority: Community Engagement and Participation

City Staff: Juliana Weber, CityLAB Coordinator

Faculty: Jennifer Curry Jahnke, Mohawk College
